The Fine Arts & Design Technology department at ARGAN Bedaya aims to inspire and engage the community by delivering creative, practical, and challenging programs combining technology and a hands-on holistic approach to lifelong learning. Course offerings include, but are not limited to, product design, smart materials, mixed media, painting, drawing, printing, fashion and textiles, 3D design, sculpture, art history and fine arts for all ages.
We aim to encourage learners to study the work of artists, designers, engineers, scientists, inventors, innovators, and technologists and understand how this can inspire their own work. All courses lead to finished creative outcomes and in doing so will also teach valuable life skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, innovation, and collaboration; challenging learners to understand the wider world around them and become more insightful consumers and conscious global citizens.
Courses will encourage creativity, curiosity, experimentation, making mistakes, risk taking, and problem solving at all levels and ensure learners adapt a holistic approach when designing and making products and artworks. Argan Bedaya firmly believes that learning happens best by ‘doing’ and has carefully developed programs that allow learners to work with different materials so that they can develop a greater appreciation for traditional practices whilst embracing new technologies.
